Century Club of George Mason University
The Century Club is a nonprofit organization that fosters program-related
partnerships between George Mason University and local businesses.
Members volunteer their time and professional expertise to initiate,
direct and support education-related programs and activities associated
with George Mason University. Century Club activities encompass
partnerships with the university's faculty or students. The organization
designs its activities to benefit both Century Club members and
GMU partners.
George Mason University is the leading university based in Northern
Virginia. Century Club members help support the University's goals
of providing high quality education, strengthening the local business
climate and enhancing the economic vitality of Northern Virginia
and the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.
Virginia Tech MBA Alumni Advisory Board
The Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech is committed to
excellence in teaching, research, and service to the business community.
Virginia Tech graduates about a quarter of all business students
(undergraduate and graduate) in the state.
The Virginia Tech MBA Alumni Advisory Board serves thee Pamplin
College of Business, its student body, and the Alumni population.
Of the more than two thousand Virginia Tech MBA alumni, the Dean
has selected fifty leaders to represent and organize the Alumni.
Northern Virginia Technology Council
The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) is the membership
association for the technology community in Northern Virginia. NVTC
has more than 1700 member companies representing over 190,000 employees.
Members include companies from the information technology, software,
Internet, ISPs, ASPs, telecommunications, bioscience, and aerospace
industries.
Virginia Asset Financing Corporation
Virginia Asset provides financing through SBA's 504 Program. SBA
established the 504 Loan program to foster community economic development
through job creation and retention. The 504 loans are long-term
fixed asset financing for small businesses. Local Certified Development
Companies (CDC) offer the 504 loans. Virginia Asset is the CDC for
the state of Virginia.
Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce
The Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce is the largest chamber in
the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. region. Chamber supports member
businesses by providing valuable networking and business development
opportunities. The chamber also advocates business-friendly policies
at all levels of government. And, the organization provides access
to information, decision-makers and key players in the region.
Fairfax-Falls Church United Way
The Fairfax-Falls Church United Way is a volunteer driven organization
that exists to serve our community. The local office in Fairfax
fosters relationships in order to leverage limited resources for
improving human services. This offices: raises funds in an efficient,
low-cost manner, identifies unmet needs and emerging problems, and
directs resources to programs solving those most critical needs
and problems. The Fairfax-Falls Church United Way is a regional
office of the United Way of the National Capital Area.
